You can also reach the cliffs by turning right out of the house and at the little
roundabout bear left onto Lankelly lane. Go straight to the end and turn left at the
fork and follow the road to the car park. Just before the car park take the track on the
left that leads to a gate and this will take you out onto the fields on the top of the
cliffs. Another good short run or add to a castle loop to make longer!
If you follow the costal path from the castle it takes you all the way to Polridmouth
beach (Pronounced Pridmuth). No loos or amenities. .
From Polridmoth you can walk to ‘The Gribbin’ the lighthouse and even all the way
round to Polkerris beach which has 2 great pubs and a lovely restaurant called
Sam’s on the Beach (booking essential).
The Hall Walk: Our favourite walk. Walk all the way through town to the Bodinnick
car ferry and cross the river to the other side. Follow signs to the Hall Walk which is
off to the right up the hill. The walk takes an hour or so and follows the coast all the
way round to Polruan which is opposite Fowey. Once in Polruan you can take the
passenger ferry from the quay back over to Fowey. Can be done the other way
round too..
